Description:

Oral Quinine Sulfate is used to complete treatment after initial IV therapy in severe malaria cases or as an alternative where ACTs are unavailable.

• Effective against P. falciparum
• Often used with doxycycline or clindamycin
• Suitable for step-down therapy

Precautions:

May cause cinchonism (tinnitus, headache, visual disturbances). Use cautiously in cardiac patients. ​
